Rack Frame and Equipment Mounting

Eight rack units provide 355 mm of vertical mounting space — sufficient for an 8U power distribution unit, a 6U touring amplifier, or a mixed AV processing stack with a 1U patch panel. Designed for Mobility

The 8U-L is built to be moved. Eight black plastic carrying handles are distributed around the case perimeter for balanced multi-person lifting of a fully loaded rack. Edge casters allow one person to roll the case smoothly across flat surfaces — loading bays, venue floors, and airport terminals included. Moulded stacking ribs on the exterior enable secure interstacking with other Peli Super-V and BlackBox series cases, saving floor space in vehicles and on stage.

Protection and Sealing

The outer shell is smooth-finished rotomoulded polyethylene, delivering robust resistance to UV radiation, chemical splashes, and repeated mechanical impact. All hardware is black oxide stainless steel, corrosion-resistant even in coastal or high-humidity environments. A full-perimeter silicone sponge O-ring gasket provides reliable waterproof and dust-proof sealing. A built-in pressure relief valve (PRV) automatically equalises internal pressure when altitude or temperature changes during air freight, preventing lid seal damage and ensuring the case always opens cleanly on arrival.
